Mohawk Technologies currently owns and operates six Grumman OV-1D Mohawk aircraft. The OV-1D is a surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft retired from the US Army in 1996.  These aircraft are FAA certified experimental for the purpose of research and development, capable of carrying up to 3550 lbs payload.   Mohawk Technologies recently operated the aircraft on a research and development Government project carrying a large imagery sensor.  These aircraft are well maintained and have low airframe time.
